A Rubik's Edge is essentially 1/3 of a conventional 3x3 Rubik's Cube personalised with full colour artwork on all 6 faces. The 2 flat faces (each with 9 squares) and 4 edges (each with 3 squares) have glossy square stickers on which the artwork is digitally printed.
